Where can you see glow worms on the Gold Coast?

What are glow worms actually?
Despite the name, glow worms aren’t worms. They’re the larvae of a fungus gnat called Arachnocampa. The larvae produce a blue-green glow and use sticky silk threads to catch insects. The light is produced by a chemical reaction and is generally strongest when the larvae are hungry. They need damp conditions and darkness to survive, which is why they’re found in sheltered, humid environments.
Can you photograph glow worms?
With a long exposure and a tripod, sometimes. What you cannot use is a flash or a torch pointed at them; light makes them switch off, and it can take them a long time to start glowing again. Guides ask people to keep phones away for that reason.
What is the best time of year to see glow worms?
They glow year round. Numbers and brightness are best in the warmer, wetter months from about October to April, when the humidity suits them. Rain on the day is a help rather than a problem, so long as the track is open.
What is a Natural Bridge?
A rock arch in Springbrook National Park where a creek has worn through the roof of a basalt cave, so the waterfall drops into the cave from above. The cave ceiling is where the glow worm colony lives. The walk in is a short loop track on a formed path.
How long are the Gold Coast tours?

Closed shoes with grip, because the tracks are wet rock and often slippery. A light jacket for the evening: the hinterland drops several degrees below the coast after dark. Insect repellent. Leave the thongs at the beach.
