The Gold Coast isn’t one of Australia’s prime wine-making regions, but it still plays host to a handful of vineyards that produce some of the best flavours in the country. At the centre of it all is the Mount Tamborine Vineyard and Winery, which can be found right in the middle of Gallery walk at the peak of the mountain. The boutique winery has won many awards over the years and provides guests with a range of tasting opportunities, a tasty restaurant, and an on-site gift shop.

Covering more than 68 acres, the winery dates back to 1990 when it was first established by esteemed local winemakers. Today, it provides visitors to the region with a charming way to explore the flavours of the Gold Coast whilst surrounded by breath-taking scenery.

Like many of the vineyards in the region, the Mount Tamborine Vineyard and Winery caters to a whole range of events, from weddings and celebrations, to corporate dos and functions. Set amongst the sprawling scenery of Mount Tamborine, it’s the perfect place to tuck into a tasty tipple or two and try some of the delicious local cuisine that’s served up fresh in the on-site restaurant.

If you find yourself at the cellar door, be sure to try out the selection of firm favourites. These include Black Shiraz, Tehembrin Merlot, Daisy Chardonnay, Chocolate Port, Show Reserve Muscat, and Ruby Port. The winemaking scene in the Gold Coast isn’t as big as other areas of the country, but the wineries here make up for it in their passion for producing the best flavours and their drive to continue to innovate the wine industry.

The Mount Tamborine Cellar Door and Restaurant

One of the best ways to discover some of the unique flavours of the Mount Tamborine Vineyard and Winery is at its welcoming cellar door. Here you can hear first-hand about how the winery creates its fabulous flavours, learning about the history of the region and understanding the wine a bit better from the friendly staff memebers. After trying a couple glasses, head to the restaurnt and grab a bite to eat! Here you can enjoy a simple  coffee while admiring the expansive views out across the mountain scenery, or you can enjoy a first-class style lunch, pairing your delciious cuisines with the winery’s wines. After filling up on the devine food, browse the gift shop to pick up a souvenir or two to remind you of your time in the area.

Mount Tamborine is packed full of fun adventures for every sort of traveller. From hiking to zip lining and cultural endeavours, it has a little something for everyone. And, for wine lovers, adding a trip to a winery to their visit is the icing on the cake.
