You don’t have to pack up your bags and catch an early flight due to the weather, as the Gold Coast has plenty more activities available apart from the Beach!

The Gold Coast is famed for its everlasting sunny days amidst the tropical scenery. But sometimes, mother nature has other plans. Giving some visitors an unlucky day full of rain instead of blue skies. Since most of the attractions require the usual sunny atmosphere, rain can sometimes upset your itinerary. Here is our list of the best things to do when it’s raining on the Gold coast.

  • Food and Drink Activities

Let your worries melt away as you sip on a delicious drink and tuck into some local lunch. The city is home to an array of cafes, restaurants, and bars to choose from. Feast on the freshly caught seafood the city is famous for as you try out the locally crafted beer.

  • Glow Worm Adventure

Visit the Springbrook National Park at the Gold Coast Hinterland and discover the most famous worms in the world, The Glow Worms. What’s great about this adventure is that the majority of the tour is undercover, with only a small portion in the trickling rain. Venture into the rainforest’s caves and immerse yourself in a world of darkness. Marvel at the tiny creatures glowing from the ceiling, creating what seems like a starry night. The glow from these worms is a natural occurrence due to a chemical reaction within their body. Venture on the nocturnal tours to learn more about these magical creatures as the guides lead you through this evening wonderland.

  • Gold Coast Arts Centre and Art Gallery

For some culture, head inside to the city’s art gallery. This impeccable building is covered in both local and international pieces, ranging in paintings, sculptures, and illustrations. Wander through each section and discover the incredible beauty held here.

  • The Star Casino

Throw your money away in style when you visit The Star at Gold coast. A 24-hour casino, serving impeccable food and offering live shows that are ever changing. We suggest visiting this vibrant hub of glamour, style, and sophistication for a delicious dinner and a show. Check out what’s on when you’re visiting!

  • Holey Moley

If you are ready to enjoy a delicious drink with your activity, head down to the city’s Holey Moley. A mini golf course inlike any other, as it is set right inside a bar, offering a range of cocktails, beers, and appetisers to choose from while you head around the golf course! Sitting snug along Surfers Paradise, this night-time activity is a perfect way to escape the rain.
